Shopping In Springfield, Mo

Springfield, Mo is the third largest city in Missouri, and always has offered a great variety in shopping. With new and exciting stores opening every day, you’re sure to acquire anything practical you need, and everything for pleasure too.

A great place to open, and a approved with Springfield natives and visitors alike is the Battlefield Mall, located at 2825 S. Glenstone Ave, (Glenstone & Battlefield Rd.) This mall is Missouri’s largest shopping center, and features more than 150 specialty shops, and restaurants. All your department store favorites are here, such as, Dillard’s, Famous Barr (soon to be Macy’s), JCPenney, and Sears. 

Perhaps one of the biggest tourist attractions in Springfield is BassPro Shops Outdoor World, and it is truly a spectacular feast for the eyes. If you’re looking for not only tremendous shopping in apparel, golf, hunting, outdoor supplies, and more, you’ll feel like you’re stepping into a different world when you walk in the doors. An fabulous display of wild animals as well as live fish, turtles, and ducks amidst the cascading waterfalls, and ample aquariums is worth the visit alone. You won’t earn a larger selection of outdoor gear anywhere else, and if you get hungry, you can grab a bite at the upstairs McDonald’s or luxuriate in fine dining at the exquisite Hemingway’s, which features a 30,000 gallon saltwater aquarium, not to mention a dynamic showroom loaded with an art gallery, barber shop, firing range, and a Tracker boat showroom.  This is a must for any outdoor lover!  Located at 1935 South Campbell. 

Sam’s Club, located at 3660 East Sunshine is also very popular, however you have to have a membership to shop here.  But if you do have a membership card, it is valid at all Sam’s Clubs across the nation. Here, you’ll find a vast array of equipment for team sporting events, family reunions, conventions, and more.  New items approach daily, so it’s worth checking out.

A must-see for any professional craftsman, or hobbyist is Grizzly Industrial, Inc., located at 1815 West Battlefield Road.  Their huge showroom offers the best quality necessities and equipment for woodworking, metalworking, tools, and name-brand accessories at great prices. You can also see free live demonstrations of master craftsmen at work.

Wine collectors and enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Brown Derby International Wine Center at 2023 South Glenstone Avenue. Not just a great station to buy wine and spirits, but also a wonderful gift shop with a wide variety of gift items and gourmet food.  Here, you’ll find a world-class wine selection, said to be the best in the Midwest, a deli with a myriad of meats and cheeses, a humidor offering quality cigars, and a Riedel crystal collection.  Hours are Mon-Sat 8 am to 12 am. Sunday-11 am to 7 pm.

If antiques are your passion, Springfield has all kinds for you to check out.  Ozarks Treasures Flea Markets and Furniture has antiques, collectibles, primitives, glassware, home decor, furniture, crafts, inlcuding wood, pottery, ceramics, needlework, watercolors, acrylics, oils, and so much more.  They have two locations for convenience: 1844 South Campbeel Avenue, and 2510-B South Campbell Avenue.

They are located honest off Glenstone & James River Freeway (US 160), in the James River Town Shopping Center, (where you’ll also find Wal-Mart,  Kohls, GNC, and other astounding shops and restaurants, including Smokey Bones Barbecue and Hooter’s.)
